Stop Asking for a Seat at Their Table. It's Time to Build Your Own Table

I’ve been there.

I’ve been the one screaming into the void, doing everything “right,” only to be met with silence. I’ve polished my resume, networked until I was exhausted, and taken the calls from recruiters who vanished like ghosts. I know that soul-crushing feeling of being told you’re “overqualified,” which is just a polite way of saying you’re “overpriced for a dying model.”  I was 35 when it started and 39 when I left to say, "I'll take door #3 and create my own table."

But I’m here to tell you something I had to learn the hard way: this isn’t the end. It’s the beginning.

The system isn’t just ignoring you; it’s liberating you.

This is why we built The Bee Suite, a new economic model for builders, not drones. It’s a recognition that the corporate world, with its rigid structures and obsession with the bottom line, isn’t looking for experienced builders like us. It’s a mirage, designed to keep us busy while the real opportunities are being built elsewhere.

So, how do you step out of the mirage and into the real?

You start by asking.  I’m not talking about begging or pleading. I’m talking about asking the big, bold, audacious questions that shatter the status quo. This is the revolutionary idea at the heart of my new book, “THE ASK: Break the Rules, Unleash Curiosity, Build the Future.”

I wrote “THE ASK” because I had to live it.

My own journey, from a broken spirit in a psychiatric hospital at 14 to ringing the closing bell at the New York Stock Exchange, was fueled by the power of asking. It was my refusal to accept the hand I was dealt and my decision to ask for more – for myself, for my daughter, and for the world.

“THE ASK” is my manifesto for the sidelined, the underestimated, and the ready-to-rebel. It’s for those of us who have the grit, the pre-digital wisdom, and the authentic intelligence that no machine can replicate. It’s my guide to transforming your frustration into fuel and building a future on your own terms.

This isn’t just theory. It’s a blueprint for flipping markets, dismantling outdated systems, and creating a legacy that starts now.

It’s my dare to you to step out of your comfort zone, embrace the edge, and disrupt the world as we know it.

  • Overpriced for a Dying Model? No. You're Undervalued by a Broken System.
  • The Corporate Machine Spit You Out. Now It's Your Turn to Build Something They Can't Ignore.
  • You're Not Unemployable. You're Ungovernable. And That's Exactly What the Future Needs

If “THE ASK” is the mindset, then The Bee Suite is the ecosystem where that mindset comes to life.

It’s the hive where builders, strategists, and operators come together to create what’s next. It’s where you stop trading your time for a single salary from a company that sees you as disposable and start building a portfolio career with multiple income streams.  Maybe you're in a corporate job now, and you're thinking about the future, or you've been looking for the past 12 months for the next corporate thing, only to learn it's just not there.  Or maybe you're just done with the status quo and want to learn how to become your own boss.  The place this happens is in the Bee Suite.

This is the reinvention you’ve been waiting for.

It’s the shift from being a cog in a machine to being a vital part of a thriving, collaborative ecosystem. It’s about commanding premium rates, securing equity opportunities, and building wealth and health on your own terms.

The world has changed. The old rules are broken. Stop waiting to be picked. Stop screaming into the void. It’s time to ask the questions that matter. It’s time to find your hive.

Read “THE ASK” to ignite your curiosity and arm yourself with the tools for your transformation. Then, join us at The Bee Suite to connect with a community of builders who are creating the future.

Your reinvention isn’t just possible. It’s inevitable. And it starts with a single, powerful question. What’s your ask?
